The UOC hierarch consecrated St. Nicholas Church of the Zhytomyr Eparchy.

On September 12, 2026, the feast day of the Holy Right-Believing Prince Alexander Nevsky, Metropolitan Nikodim of Zhytomyr and Novohrad-Volynskyi led the consecration of a UOC church and celebrated the Divine Liturgy at St. Nicholas Church in the village of Datsky, Zhytomyr Region, according to a post on the hierarch’s Facebook page.

The church, which will now serve as a spiritual center for the local community, was consecrated before the start of the Liturgy.

After the service, Metropolitan Nikodim addressed the faithful with an archpastoral message, congratulating the community on the milestone and wishing them spiritual growth, unity and God’s blessing.

As UOJ reported, Metropolitan Anthony previously consecrated a church dedicated to St. Nicholas in Rusaniv.
