Metropolitan Alexiy of Voznesensk consecrates chapel in Velyka Solona

The ruling bishop of the Voznesensk Eparchy performed the consecration of the Chapel of the Holy Martyrs Faith, Hope, Love, and their mother Sophia.

The Voznesensk Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church reported the consecration of a chapel on the territory of the cemetery in the village of Velyka Solona of the Yelanets settlement community, Mykolaiv region. The rite of consecration was performed by Metropolitan Alexiy of Voznesensk and Pervomaysk on August 21, 2026.

The new chapel was built in honor of the Holy Martyrs Faith, Hope, Love, and their mother Sophia. His Eminence was co-served by Archpriest Nikolai Tochok and Archpriest Heorhy Machinsky.

At the conclusion of the service, the hierarch congratulated the clergy and parishioners on the consecration of the chapel. Metropolitan Alexiy expressed gratitude to the ktitors Tetiana and Hryhory Demchenko, as well as to all those who were involved in the construction of the chapel.

As the UOJ reported earlier, a new UOC church in honor of the Transfiguration of the Lord was laid in Vozsiyatske.
