The Trial of the Church: The History of Persecution Repeats Itself, but Faith Only Grows Stronger
```html The trial against the Church of Christ, which will begin tomorrow, reminds us of the tragic pages of the past. The authorities are once again pursuing political goals, but history shows that despite persecutions, the Church has stood firm and only strengthened. Today, the priests remain calm and continue to serve, preparing for the trials. The outcome is always the same — faith becomes stronger.  ```
Tomorrow the trial against the Church of Christ will begin.
Those who initiated this from the very top obviously have some geopolitical goals. And they know what they are doing.
A level below are either unscrupulous executors or long-awaiting revenge open enemies of the UOC.
But the judges will have a hard time. They need to stretch the owl of political order over the globe of the law.
But all of them frankly lack basic knowledge of history.
Exactly one hundred years ago, out of all the pre-revolutionary institutions of the fallen empire, only one remained. The Church.
And it was precisely with Her that they fought most cruelly and inhumanely. With shootings, arrests, exiles. With the full power of the well-organized Soviet propaganda.
Even, as now, they created a "red church," which was immediately servilely recognized in Constantinople and into which they vainly tried to drive the believers.
And nothing.
All these mountains of corpses, these rivers of tears were in vain. The Church stood firm.
It was purified and strengthened.
And now it will be the same.
Yes, there will be tears and sorrow, there will be even stronger persecutions, there will be expulsions from temples.
And the result will be an even stronger faith in Christ and in His Church.
And to those of the persecutors who will read these lines, I strongly urge you to remember the most historically close example of the Greek Catholics. Seemingly completely destroyed, but instantly revived with a change of power.
Or something older - Emperor Constantine the Great and the Church, which under him turned from being cruelly persecuted into truly universal.
And there are many such historical examples.
Learn history, my dear ones.
And do not kick against the goads!
"The Lord said to Saul: I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads"
Acts of the Apostles 9:5
P.S. Recently, I have spoken with several parish priests. All are calm, serving God and people in the usual order. Of course, they are not thinking of moving anywhere. And they tell me quite calmly how they have already equipped a garage or a house or another place in case of expulsion from the temple... Such are the realities.
