TRC releases UOC rector in Radisne
On September 7, Archpriest Mykhailo Bilokon, rector of the Church of the Holy Martyrs Boris and Gleb in the village of Radisne, was released and allowed to return home after being detained by TRC officers. The priest was issued a summons and ordered to report to the recruitment office in one week. His relatives and parishioners told the UOJ about the development.
Father Mykhailo thanked the faithful for their prayers and support. According to him, the situation was resolved favorably, although the matter has not yet been fully settled. “Yesterday was a trial for all of us, but the Lord showed His mercy,” the priest wrote.
As the UOJ reported, on September 6, TRC officers detained Archpriest Mykhailo Bilokon while he was on his way to a service in the village of Radisne in the Kamianske Eparchy. According to his relatives, the priest was first taken to a hospital in Dnipro and then to the regional recruitment office, after which they lost contact with him.
Archpriest Mykhailo Bilokon is the rector of the UOC Church of Sts. Boris and Gleb in Radisne. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1992.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that TRC officers abducted a UOC priest in Lubny.
