Entrance exams completed at Pochaiv Seminary
Twenty-nine applicants to Pochaiv Theological Seminary have been recommended for admission following the entrance examinations. The admissions committee has announced the results of this year’s enrollment campaign, the UOC Information and Education Department reports.
The entrance examinations were held at the seminary from August 19 to 21, 2026. Before the exams began, clergy served a prayer service together in the seminary church dedicated to Sts. Job and Amphilochius of Pochaiv.
Applicants took written and oral tests and also had an interview with Metropolitan Sergiy of Ternopil and Kremenets and the seminary’s vice rectors. The examinations concluded with a thanksgiving prayer service to the Lord.
The new seminarians were recommended for admission to the full-time program. After the results were announced, the future students discussed academic and living arrangements at the monastery with the seminary administration.
As the UOJ reported, entrance examinations had also concluded at Odesa Seminary.
