Lotysh: I called on Lavra monks to turn toward World Orthodoxy
Avraamiy Lotysh demanded that the brethren of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra show “courage” in transferring to the OCU.
OCU “Lavra abbot” Avraamiy Lotysh, in an interview with TSN, called on the UOC brethren of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra to turn back “toward holy world Ecumenical Orthodoxy.”
“My position has always been clear and firm – to seek dialogue, to unite, and to call on them after all to turn their face back toward holy world Ecumenical Orthodoxy,” Lotysh said.
According to him, he does not intend to force the brethren to transfer, leaving each person the right to choose, but he nevertheless demanded that the monks of the monastery show “courage” in leaving for the OCU.
As the UOJ reported, the OCU has welcomed the construction of a pantheon in the Lavra.
