Court postpones hearing in Upper Lavra case
The next hearing on the issue of allowing the brethren of the Kyiv-Pechersk Monastery of the UOC access to the churches of the Upper Lavra will take place on March 12, 2026.
On February 24, 2026, a hearing was held at the Northern Commercial Court of Appeal in Kyiv regarding the lawsuit filed by the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Monastery of the UOC seeking access to the churches of the Upper Lavra.
The monastery’s lawyers submitted several motions to postpone the hearing due to the lack of opportunity to fully review the case materials. The court granted the motions. The next hearing is scheduled for March 12 at 2:30 p.m.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the hearing in the case of the Upper Lavra had been postponed at the request of the monastery’s attorneys.
