Patriarch Porfirije discusses problems in World Orthodoxy with DECR ROC head
A meeting took place between the Serbian Patriarch and a delegation of the Russian Orthodox Church led by Metropolitan Antoniy of Volokolamsk.
On December 18, 2025, in Belgrade, at the Church of St. Sava, Patriarch Porfirije of the Serbian Orthodox Church received the head of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Antony of Volokolamsk, together with a delegation, UOJ Serbia reports.
During the meeting, the participants discussed problems facing world Orthodoxy, paying particular attention to the situation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. In the course of the conversation, Patriarch Porfirije also held a telephone call with Patriarch Kirill.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that Patriarch Porfirije had expressed support for Serbian students and schoolchildren in Croatia.
