Condition of Metropolitan Theodosiy worsens, says Cherkasy Eparchy
Doctors are conducting comprehensive diagnostics, but the cause of the Cherkasy hierarch’s deteriorating health remains unknown.
On December 1, 2025, the press service of the Cherkasy Eparchy reported on the condition of Metropolitan Theodosiy, who is in the hospital after being poisoned with unknown substances. According to the statement, treatment has so far brought no positive results.
Moreover, despite intensive therapy, negative diagnostic indicators regarding his internal organs continue to rise.
“Doctors are conducting comprehensive diagnostics, but the cause of the deterioration in the bishop’s health has not yet been determined. We ask all Orthodox Christians to intensify their prayers for the health and salvation of Metropolitan Theodosiy,” the statement reads.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that Metropolitan Theodosiy of Cherkasy had been poisoned.
