In Ivano-Frankivsk, Uniates and OCU reps pray for repose of Stepan Bandera
Local authorities stated that "the feat and active national position of Stepan Bandera still have an impact today".
On October 15, 2025, on the anniversary of the death of OUN leader Stepan Bandera, clerics of the UGCC and the OCU held a memorial service at his monument in European Square in Ivano-Frankivsk. This was reported by the ugccif.org.ua website.
The event began with the anthem, after which representatives of the regional and local authorities addressed those present.
According to them, "the feat and active national stance of Stepan Bandera still have an impact today", because "it is precisely the spirit of freedom and national identity that helps build the state, its culture, spirituality, and resilience".
As the UOJ wrote, in Dnipro, the Uniates found out how Prince Volodymyr influenced the future of the UGCC.
