Parishioners raised a massive heavy cross to a height of 1881 meters.
On September 2, 2025, the parishioners and priest of the Sts. Peter and Paul Church in the village of Kosivska Poliana erected a worship cross on the summit of Mount Blyznytsia, which reaches a height of 1881 meters above sea level, reports the Khust Eparchy.
On the day of the installation, the cross was solemnly consecrated by the dean of the Velykyi Bychkiv district, Archpriest Vasyl Kovach.
"This event has become an important spiritual symbol for all who visit the mountain, reminding them of the power of faith and God's presence in every corner of our region," wrote the press service.
