Due to war in Ukraine, 700 churches destroyed, half of them belong to UOC
By the end of summer, 346 churches of the UOC were damaged due to military actions.
During the war in Ukraine, more than 700 religious buildings were damaged, reports "Master's Workshop of Academic Religious Studies". Half of them belong to the UOC – 346 churches. Next is the OCU – 66 churches. Uniate and Catholic – 28. Also affected were 178 buildings of Protestant communities, 8 – Muslim, 20 – Jewish, and 10 – other religions.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that by the end of winter 2025, according to the Workshop, 339 UOC churches were damaged.
