Patriarchs of Moscow and Serbia concelebrate at Trinity-St. Sergius Lavra
The Patriarchs emphasized the unity and spiritual kinship of the Russian and Serbian Orthodox Churches.
On 25 April 2025, Friday of Holy Week and the Feast of the Icon of the Mother of God "Life-Giving Source", Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia celebrated a joint Divine Liturgy.
The Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral of the Holy Trinity-St. Sergius Lavra was led by Patriarch Kirill and Patriarch Porfirije. They were joined by hierarchs and clerics of the Russian and Serbian Churches.
After the service, the Primates exchanged greetings and congratulations on the Easter celebrations, emphasizing the unity and spiritual kinship of the Russian and Serbian Orthodox Churches.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that Patriarch Porfirije was awarded Honorary Doctorate by the Moscow Theological Academy.
