When one hand sinks the Church, while the other elevates LGBT
We've been doing some calculations. Here are the results.
- 90% of Ukrainian media outlets that almost unanimously vilified the UOC were funded through grants from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
- The Ministry of Culture, which has been evicting the UOC from Lavra, monasteries, and historic churches; the NGO "Chesno" with its "Register of Traitors"; dozens of local government bodies that have "banned" the UOC – all of them were funded by USAID.
- "Independent" polling platforms, such as the Razumkov Center, were also bankrolled by USAID. These polls consistently produced astronomical approval ratings for the OCU and minuscule ones for the UOC. The OCU Synod (!) then frequently cited these figures as proof of its vast support and the marginalization of the UOC.
At the same time, it turns out that USAID has been one of the most active supporters of gender and LGBT programs worldwide.
Millions of dollars were spent on gender transition surgeries and "LGBT activism" in Guatemala, the creation of a transgender opera in Colombia, transgender comic books in Peru, an LGBT musical in Ireland, and more. We strongly suspect that the first waves of gay pride parades in Ukraine weren’t exactly "spontaneous" either.
So, the same organization that funded the persecution of the Church also financed anti-Christian LGBT and gender programs.
Just a coincidence?
