Pochaiv Lavra clergy and seminarians become blood donors
The clergy of the Pochaiv Monastery and seminarians donated blood at the district hospital to support the regional blood center.
The clergy of the Holy Dormition Pochaiv Lavra and the students of the Pochaiv Theological Seminary took part in a charitable blood donation drive in the city of Pochaiv, reports the UOC Information and Education Department.
The charitable event took place at the Pochaiv District Municipal Hospital. The blood collection was carried out by medical staff from the Ternopil Regional Blood Service Center.
The blood donation drive is aimed at replenishing the blood service center's supplies, as well as providing assistance to soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The management of the medical institution expressed sincere gratitude to the clergy and future pastors for organizing and participating in this good cause.
"The participation of the clergy and future pastors of the Church in blood donation became a testament to Christian responsibility and readiness to serve those who are in weakness and in need of help," noted Krystyna Klymenko, Medical Director of the Pochaiv District Municipal Hospital.
Previously, the UOJ reported that priests and faithful of the Kropyvnytskyi Diocese became blood donors.
