UOC hierarchs honor St. Theodosius of Chernihiv
The hierarchs performed the rite of glorification before an icon of St. Theodosius, offered prayers for peace, and congratulated Archbishop Theodosiy on his name day.
On the feast commemorating the uncovering and translation of the relics of St. Theodosius of Chernihiv, Metropolitan Clement of Nizhyn and Pryluky, chairman of the Education Committee of the UOC Holy Synod, presided over the Divine Liturgy at the Church of All Saints of the Chernihiv Land, the Chernihiv Eparchy reported.
Concelebrating with the chairman of the Education Committee were Archbishop Victor of Artsyz, Archbishop Sylvester of Bilohorodka, Archbishop Nikodym of Liubech, Archbishop Theodosiy of Ladan, Bishop Arkadii of Hostomel, Bishop Clement of Borova, church rector Archpriest Petro Kaznovetskyi, as well as eparchial clergy and visiting clergy.
During the festive Liturgy, the hierarchs and clergy offered prayers for peace in Ukraine, for deliverance from the enemy, and for the protection of those who have lost their homes and are in despair. They also asked God’s blessing for people of goodwill who provide assistance to those in need.
Following the Divine Liturgy, the clergy performed the rite of glorification before the icon of St. Theodosius of Chernihiv. At the conclusion of the celebrations, the hierarchs congratulated Archbishop Theodosiy of Ladan on the feast day of his heavenly patron.
Earlier, UOJ reported that the Nizhyn Eparchy marked the anniversary of the uncovering of the relics of St. Joasaph of Belgorod.
