In Bukovyna, thousands of believers venerate Boyany Icon of Theotokos

A solemn divine service was held at the women's monastery of the Boyany Icon of the Mother of God in the village of Boyany of the Chernivtsi Eparchy, on the occasion of the monastery's feast day. The Divine Liturgy on the feast day was led by Metropolitan Meletiy of Chernivtsi and Bukovyna, reports a UOJ correspondent.
His Eminence was co-served by Metropolitan Yevseviy of Shepetivka and Slavuta, Archbishop Syluan of Hertsa, Archbishop Сleopa of Novoselytsia, Bishop Nikita of Ivano-Frankivsk and Kolomyia, Bishop Iov of Kitsman, as well as about 150 clergy of the Chernivtsi Eparchy and guests in holy orders.
Thousands of believers came to the monastery to prayerfully honor the miraculous icon of the Most Holy Theotokos. During the service, the hierarchs, clergy and laity offered prayers for peace in Ukraine, deliverance from the enemy, and the preservation of those who are in despair and have lost their homes. Separate prayers were offered for people of good will who provide assistance to those in need.
Following the Divine Liturgy, Metropolitan Meletiy congratulated the hierarchs, clergy, and all those present in prayer on the feast of the Boyany Icon of the Mother of God and addressed the faithful with words of spiritual guidance.
The UOJ previously reported that thousands of believers took part in religious procession to the Boyany Monastery to venerate the miraculous icon of the Most Holy Theotokos on its feast day.
