Ukrainian Consul General meets Polish bishop to discuss support for faithful
Diplomat Roman Shepeliak thanked Archbishop Abel for his comprehensive support of the Ukrainian community.
Roman Shepeliak, Ukraine's Consul General in Lublin, has met with Archbishop Abel of the Polish Orthodox Church.
The two discussed pastoral care for the faithful, the life of the Orthodox community, and the importance of supporting Ukrainians living in Poland.
During the meeting, the Ukrainian diplomat thanked the Archbishop of Lublin and Chełm for the open dialogue. Shepeliak expressed his gratitude for the hierarch's attention to the spiritual needs of his fellow Ukrainians and for his support of the Ukrainian community.
As the UOJ previously reported, Archbishop Abel has said that the faithful of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church today are "bearing Christ's historic Cross."
