UOC cathedral celebrates its patronal feast in Ternopil

On September 30, 2026, a festive service was held at the UOC Cathedral of the Holy Martyrs Faith, Hope, Love and their mother Sophia in Ternopil on the occasion of the patronal feast, reports a UOJ correspondent.
The service was led by Metropolitan Serhii of Ternopil and Kremenets. He was concelebrated by Metropolitans Meletiy of Chernivtsi and Bukovyna, Theodore of Kamianets-Podilskyi and Horodok, Volodymyr of Pochaiv, and Archbishop Job of Shumsk.
Numerous believers prayed together with the hierarchs and clergy.
As reported by the UOJ, four cases against the UOC are being considered in courts in the Ternopil region. As for the church itself, the lower church of the Cathedral of the Martyrs Faith, Hope, Love and their Mother Sophia was consecrated on September 30, 2002. This date coincides with the memorial day of the saints to whom the cathedral is dedicated.
