UOC church in Kyiv’s Priorka district damaged in Russian attack

On the night of September 24, 2026, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church’s Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos in Kyiv’s Priorka district sustained damage during a Russian attack on the capital, the UOC Information and Education Department reports.
The church’s dome was damaged, and its windows were shattered. Debris also pierced the structure and struck the holy altar table in the sanctuary. Parish buildings on the church grounds sustained significant damage as well.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the UOC’s Church of Sts. Peter and Paul in Sumy had been damaged in a Russian strike.
