On the evening of September 19, 2026, Russian forces struck the Synelnykove district of Dnipropetrovsk region with aerial bombs, causing repeated damage to the St. Nicholas UOC church in the village of Vasylkivka, reports the Dnipropetrovsk Eparchy.
As a result of the airstrike, the wooden church building sustained serious damage. The photographs show that the blast wave blew out the windows along with their frames, destroyed a section of the church's log wall, and also damaged the roof, structural elements of the roof, and the upper tier of the dome. The surrounding area and fence are strewn with fragments of wood, brick, and construction debris.
Previously, the same church, as well as the parish house, were damaged during a drone attack on the night of February 11–12, 2026.
As the UOJ reported, three UOC churches were damaged by shelling in Kherson.
