Mukachevo Metropolitan consecrates altar for UOC community in Shenborn

Metropolitan Theodor of Mukachevo and Uzhhorod consecrated a new altar and celebrated the festal Divine Liturgy at St. Michael’s Church in the village of Shenborn. The rite of consecration of the new altar was performed immediately before the Divine Liturgy.

Bishop Hilarion of Svaliava joined the ruling hierarch of the Mukachevo Eparchy for the consecration and the subsequent service. Clergy from parishes of the eparchy also concelebrated with the bishops.

During the Divine Liturgy, the hierarchs, clergy, and faithful offered special prayers for peace in Ukraine, an end to the war, and the protection and health of military personnel.

As the UOJ reported, a Chernivtsi hierarch consecrated the altar of a new church built by a persecuted UOC community in Kerstentsi.
