Metropolitan Clement (Vecheria) performed a concelebrated memorial service for the newly departed Metropolitan Vissarion of Ovruch and Korosten at the academic church of the Kyiv Theological Schools on the grounds of the Intercession Holosiiv Monastery in Kyiv, reports the Nizhyn Eparchy of the UOC.

The memorial service was led by Metropolitan Clement of Nizhyn and Pryluky by the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry.

During the service, a prayer for the repose of Metropolitan Vissarion (Stretovych), who departed to the Lord on September 18, 2026, was offered.

Metropolitan Clement was co-served by the clergy of the academic church. The chants were performed by the theological school choir.

As the UOJ reported, the ruling bishop of the Ovruch Eparchy of the UOC, Metropolitan Vissarion, passed away after a prolonged serious illness, in the 73rd year of his life.
