TRC officers detained the rector of the Church of the Holy Martyrs Theodore and Anastasia, the dean of the Oleksandriia district of the Oleksandriia Eparchy, Archpriest Oleksii Mykytenko, on his way to a festive Liturgy, as reported by the eparchial secretary Archpriest Mykhailo Boburka.

The clergyman was taken to the Territorial Recruitment Center, where he remained at the time the message was published. The eparchy appealed to the clergy and laity with a call for prayerful support for the detained priest.

"We ask all those who care to intensify their prayers for Archpriest Oleksii, so that the Merciful Lord may strengthen him, and that this situation may be resolved as quickly as possible».

As the UOJ reported, the TCC abducted a priest of the Oleksandriia Eparchy in Kryvyi Rih.
