Radical David Pshenychnyi called on concerned citizens to come to the building of the Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal of Kyiv to participate in the trial against the Kyiv Metropolis of the UOC and thus "contribute to historical processes".
In his video address, the radical called the believers followers of Patriarch Kirill, who had gathered to defend the "Russian world" by influencing the court proceedings. Pshenychnyi did not clarify exactly how the believers, who customarily pray near the courthouse, influence the court proceedings.
The radical urged the public to show their position regarding "Russian agents", but expressed concern about the presence of former military personnel. "We want to warn that followers of Patriarch Kirill's sect will be on site, performing their prayers, of course, in the Russian language." In this regard, Pshenychnyi asked veterans "accustomed to shooting in the direction of the Russian language" to restrain themselves.
David Pshenychnyi is an activist of the organization "Foundation of the Future", operating under the leadership of Yevhen Karas. Previously, Pshenychnyi participated in the forcible seizure of St. Michael's Cathedral in Cherkasy, where he opened fire with a gun at parishioners inside the cathedral. The radical also demanded that Metropolitan Theodosiy of Cherkasy and Kaniv sign consent to be exchanged to the Russian Federation, and has repeatedly staged provocations near courthouse buildings.
The trial in the case of the Kyiv Metropolis of the UOC will take place on September 10, 2026 at 10:00.
As the UOJ reported, Korchynsky called on the Ministry of Culture to "decolonize" the UOC church near the Lavra.
