Zelensky: God sides with us

On August 24, 2026, Volodymyr Zelensky addressed Ukrainians with a speech in which he congratulated the people on the 35th anniversary of the country's independence and stated that God is taking Ukraine's side.
According to him, today, "hundreds of thousands of volunteers are going to defend their homeland." The president assured that people from various professions are becoming soldiers entirely of their own free will. And from them, Zelensky receives "a part of their greatness, their strength."
"These and hundreds of thousands of other chevrons on the shoulders of our defenders are charged with a light that God sees in the sky and that makes Him take our side," he said.
Zelensky also hinted that he expects the imminent death of the President of the Russian Federation. “We know that he is mortal. He never understood us, and now he won’t have time to,” the Ukrainian head of state emphasized.
Previously, the UOJ reported that, according to Zelensky, God will bless that Putin does not live long.
