Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Budanov said the concept of the “Russian World” does not apply to the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and that the monastery remains a shrine beyond politics. He posted a video of his remarks on Facebook.

Asked by a journalist to what extent the “Russian World” had already left the Lavra, Budanov replied that the “Russian World” and the Lavra are completely different things.
