Serbian Patriarch congratulates UOC Primate on 12th enthronement anniversary

On August 17, 2026, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church received congratulations from His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Porfirije on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of his enthronement, reports the UOC Information and Educational Department.

In his message, Patriarch Porfirije wished Metropolitan Onuphry God's help, good health, spiritual and physical strength, wisdom, and joy in his continued archpastoral ministry. "Your Beatitude, our dear brother and co-celebrant in Christ! We send you our sincere congratulations on the anniversary of your enthronement as Metropolitan of Kyiv and all Ukraine," the message reads.

The Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church also wished Metropolitan Onuphry to continue to “shepherd the flock of God entrusted to his care with God-given wisdom and courage,” remaining a radiant witness of faith in the crucified and risen Christ and a tireless preacher of His eternal Kingdom.

Concluding his congratulations, Patriarch Porfirije assured the Primate of the UOC of his brotherly prayerful support.

As the UOJ reported, the UOC marks the12th anniversary of Metropolitan Onuphry's enthronement.
