Drone hits dome of UOC church in Kramatorsk

In Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, a drone hit the dome of the St. Alexander Nevsky Church of the UOC. The strike caused a fire inside the church. The parish rector, Archpriest Roman, reported this to the editorial team of "Pershyi Kozatskyi".

According to the priest, the drone struck the dome at around 8:00 a.m. on August 11, 2026.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and managed to extinguish the fire. While working under the threat of a possible roof collapse, the firefighters rescued icons and liturgical items from the church.

Orthodox believers called for prayers for the firefighters Konstantin and Denis, who took part in rescuing the church and the holy objects inside it.

As the UOJ reported, the Intercession Church in Stanislav, Kherson region, was damaged by Russian shelling.
