Icon with Mary Magdalene's relics to be brought from Athos to Vinnytsia for veneration

A wonderworking icon of Saint Equal-to-the-Apostles Mary Magdalene with a particle of her venerable relics, donated from the Holy Mount Athos, will be brought to the Vinnytsia Eparchy, reports the eparchial press service.

The shrine will be welcomed on July 31 at 4:00 p.m. at the Holy Trinity Brailiv Convent, before the evening service begins.

From July 31 to August 9, the icon will be displayed for veneration in churches and monasteries of the Vinnytsia Eparchy. The schedule includes visits to the Bar Convent on August 2, the Intercession Church in Vinnytsia on August 3, the Intercession Church in Tereshky on August 4, the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Vinnytsia on August 5, and the Panteleimon Church in Zhmerynka on August 9. The locations for August 6–7 will be announced later.

On August 1, a Divine Liturgy will be celebrated before the wonderworking icon at the Holy Trinity Brailiv Convent.

The diocese invited clergy and faithful to join in prayer before the shrine and to ask Saint Equal-to-the-Apostles Mary Magdalene for peace, strengthened faith, and God’s blessing for Ukraine.

As the UOJ reported, the UOC faithful made a pilgrimage to the wonderworking Kalynivka Cross.
