UOC delivers more aid to displaced families in Kyiv

In Kyiv, staff from the Synodal Department for Social and Humanitarian Affairs of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church held another humanitarian aid distribution for 100 refugee and displaced families. The event took place on July 18, 2026, as part of the Mission of Mercy, the department’s press service reported.
Weekly support for families forced to leave their homes because of the war remains one of the Mission of Mercy’s key areas of work. Each family received a humanitarian aid package containing food and personal hygiene products.
In its “Stories of Those We Help” series, department staff share the experiences of people who have endured severe hardships without losing hope.
Since the beginning of 2026, more than 2,200 humanitarian aid packages have already been distributed through the program. The regular assistance helps displaced families meet some of their basic needs as the war continues and they remain far from home.
As the UOJ reported, UOC eparchies regularly organize charity meals for people in need.
