MP: UOC believers participating in religious processions are sectarians

Ukrainian Member of Parliament Mykola Kniazhytsky, speaking on the program "Algorithms of Lies", said that believers of the canonical Church blindly follow their leaders and unquestioningly carry out any instructions they are given.

"For parishioners of the Russian church, the priest is a guru, a God. Whatever he says, that is what must be done. In fact, they are built in a system of sects," the politician claims, referring to the UOC as the Russian church. The MP paid special attention to participants in religious processions, calling them people "rejected from Ukrainian society."

“We often see these people in headscarves, taking part in so-called religious processions through the centers of Ukrainian cities. These are people who are being taught not to think critically,” Kniazhytsky added.

He also advanced the claim that the UOC clergy “are often FSB agents or individuals connected with them.

In the deputy's opinion, it is precisely this "sectarian" hierarchical structure that allows the Church to maintain its network and influence in Ukraine. He emphasized that the UOC has "permeated all of Ukrainian society," which allegedly poses a threat to national security.

As the UOJ reported, the organizers of the religious procession to the Bancheny Monastery were fined.
