Kyiv theological schools begin admission procedure for new academic year

The Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary has announced the start of document submission for applicants. Archbishop Sylvester of Bilohorodka, rector of KDAiS, blessed the beginning of student enrollment for both full-time and part-time programs, the KDAiS press service reported.

The admissions committee will accept applications from those wishing to receive theological education until August 1, 2026. Entrance examinations, by decision of the Academic Council of the Kyiv Theological Schools, will be held from August 3 to 6.

The Kyiv Theological Academy trains clergy and specialists in theological scholarship for the needs of the UOC. Master’s studies at the Academy last two years. Orthodox men under the age of 35 who have completed seminary without failing grades are eligible to apply. The theological school awards master’s and candidate degrees in theology in the specialty of Orthodox Theology.

The Kyiv Theological Seminary offers a four-year standard program of theological education for the training of future pastors. The institution accepts Orthodox men with a complete secondary education. Seminary graduates receive a bachelor’s degree and the right to ordination to holy orders.

Applicants may submit documents in person at the Academy building in Kyiv or online by email. The admissions committee has opened separate email addresses for applicants to the full-time and part-time departments. All admission rules and the list of required documents have been posted in the applicants’ section of the schools’ official website.

As the UOJ reported, His Beatitude led the graduation ceremony of the Kyiv Theological Schools.
