On May 27, 2026, Belarusian opposition politician Svetlana Tsikhanouskaya presented OCU cleric Yevhen Orda in Chernihiv with the medal “For Fruitful Work for the Benefit of Belarus.” Orda provides pastoral support in Ukraine to the Kalinouski Regiment, which consists of ethnic Belarusians.
According to the OCU cleric, the medal was made from the metal of a destroyed Russian tank captured as a trophy by fighters of the Belarusian regiment. Orda did not specify where Tsikhanouskaya obtained the tank for melting down the medals.
He thanked “President” Tsikhanouskaya and expressed confidence that Ukrainians would be able to defeat Russia only together with Belarusians.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that Tsikhanouskaya visited a church of the schismatic Belarusian Autocephalous Orthodox Church in New York.
