The Church of the Holy Sepulchre will open to believers on April 9, 2026, following the ceasefire agreement between the USA and Iran. This is reported by the UOJ in Greece.

The official decision of the authorities will be announced tomorrow, as today is a holiday in Jerusalem due to the celebration of Jewish Passover. The Israeli side has permitted the normal functioning of the shrine.

According to the resource, believers will be able to freely attend the Matins service of Great Friday as early as tomorrow.

The Greek editorial notes that the bells of the Church of the Resurrection will ring again, calling pilgrims to accompany the Lord in His voluntary suffering.

Earlier, UOJ reported that authorities will open access to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.
