On April 2, 2026, at the Holy Trinity Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior Women's Monastery in the village of Holovchyntsi, Khmelnytskyi region, monastic tonsure into the lesser schema was performed. This was reported by the press service of the Khmelnytskyi Eparchy.
The Divine service was led by Metropolitan Viktor of Khmelnytskyi and Starokostiantyniv. During the tonsure, the newly-tonsured nuns received new names – Valeria (in honor of the martyr Valerius) and Athanasia (in honor of Saint Athanasius, Patriarch of Constantinople).
Abbess Liubov (Pikhur) became the spiritual mother for the sisters.
After the tonsure, Metropolitan Viktor congratulated the nuns on receiving the angelic image and wished them to zealously guard their monastic vows, grow in Christian virtues, and worthily fulfill their monastic obedience in the Church of Christ.
As the UOJ reported, monastic tonsure was performed in the Oleksandriia Eparchy.
