Metropolitan Arseniy of Sviatohirsk has been hospitalized in one of Kyiv’s clinics, defense attorney Yuriy Zakharchenko said during a hearing at the Chechelivskyi District Court of Dnipro. According to him, the hierarch has been diagnosed with ischemic heart disease. Because of the hospitalization, he was unable to attend the court hearing on March 13.
The hearing was postponed until March 26, and the attorney was required to provide medical documents confirming the metropolitan’s condition. Whether Metropolitan Arseniy will be able to appear in court on that date remains unknown.
It should be recalled that while Metropolitan Arseniy was in pre-trial detention, the hierarch’s lawyers repeatedly told the court that he needed to be hospitalized because of his heart condition.
