UOC hierarch takes part in German bishops’ conference

On March 7, 2026, Bishop Veniamin of Boyarka, who administers the Western European Vicariate of the UOC, took part in the 31st Plenary Assembly of the Conference of Orthodox Bishops in Germany (OBKD). The news was reported by the website of the Synodal Department for External Church Relations. The hierarch traveled to Düsseldorf with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry.
The participants in the meeting, including representatives of the Greek, Serbian, and Romanian Churches, warmly welcomed Bishop Veniamin. During the session, the hierarchs decided to admit a representative of the UOC to the Conference of Orthodox Bishops in Germany as an observer.
The meeting took place at the diocesan center of the Serbian Church in Düsseldorf under the chairmanship of Metropolitan Augustinos, head of the OBKD.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the UOC community in Brussels had celebrated the feast day of the Synaxis of the Saints of the Kyiv Caves.
