Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Budanov has warned that the Russian Federation is encroaching on Ukraine’s spiritual freedom. He made the statement after a meeting with OCU leader Serhiy Dumenko.

According to Budanov, “during war, faith is especially important,” because it helps people “preserve hope for victory.”

Budanov said that the OCU “unites people around values and spiritual resilience, and remains close to the people and the state in this difficult time.”

“Russia is encroaching not only on Ukrainian land, but also on our spiritual freedom and identity,” Budanov said, thanking Dumenko “for his wise words and prayers for our state, our soldiers, and our people.”

Earlier, the UOJ reported that Budanov had celebrated Purim with Jews. Before that, he and Zelensky shared an iftar meal with Muslims.
