On March 5, U.S. President Donald Trump said he was backing what he called the “SAVE America Act,” setting out the main points of the initiative in a post on Truth Social. In that post, he urged Republicans to pass the measure “at the expense of everything else.”

Those provisions are consistent with how the White House has described the SAVE America Act in recent materials.
