UOC сhurсhes to offer prayers for peace on anniversary of Russian invasion

On February 24, 2026, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry blessed the offering of intensified prayers for peace in Ukraine in the churches and monasteries of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. This was reported by the UOC’s Information and Education Department.
On that day, the fourth anniversary of the RF's full-scale invasion, services will be held in all eparchies with special petitions for peace, for the defenders of the state, and for the repose of soldiers and all who have perished in the war. A corresponding circular has been sent by the Chancellery of the Kyiv Metropolis to all diocesan hierarchs.
As the UOJ previously reported, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry addressed the Ukrainian people on the anniversary of the start of the full-scale war. The Primate of the UOC regularly calls the faithful to intensified prayers for peace and the unity of the country.
