On February 15, 2026, in the village of Pochapky in the Rivne Region, Metropolitan Pimen of Rivne and Ostroh performed the rite of consecration of a newly built UOC church. This was reported by the press service of the Rivne Eparchy.
The new Meeting-of-the-Lord church was built for the local religious community, which since 2022 had been holding services in an adapted facility after its former wooden church was transferred to another religious organization. The eparchy noted that the consecration became a special and long-awaited event for the faithful.
During the rite, an altar table was installed and consecrated in the sanctuary, the church was anointed with holy chrism, and the first candles were lit. After that, Metropolitan Pimen presided over the Divine Liturgy in the new church.
Concelebrating with the hierarch were the eparchy secretary, Archpriest Viktor Zemlianyi, the parish rector Fr Andrew Yurchuk, and visiting clergy. During the service, prayers were offered for donors and benefactors, for peace in the country, an end to the war, and for soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The celebration concluded with the festive blessing of Meeting-of-the-Lord candles. The eparchy emphasized that on that day the church was filled with faithful who came to share the joy of common prayer and spiritual celebration.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that an altar table was consecrated in a church in the village of Veliatyno in Zakarpattia.
