Huz assures that the destruction of the fresco is a matter of national security, since "it is precisely on such grounds that Russian special services easily recruit agents."

According to Huz, the question of the fresco's further fate has already been discussed with the OCU leadership. He reported receiving a response from the local "bishop" Matfii that the mural will not remain in the Dormition Cathedral. At the same time, he assured that the dismantling process will be carried out in compliance with all legal procedures.

The MP reported that they plan to place "images of Ukrainian saints that will not have any imperial or political coloring" in place of the destroyed fresco.

Nicholas II allocated about 60,000 rubles for the cathedral's revival, and then additionally announced a collection in all temples of the Russian Empire. As a result, 127,550 rubles were collected; and by 1900, the Dormition Cathedral was rebuilt by Russian architects in its current magnificent form.
