UOC church burns down in Zarichne, Dnipropetrovsk region

The Dnipropetrovsk Eparchy of the UOC reported a fire at the Church of Venerable Seraphim of Sarov, which occurred on the night of January 23–24, 2026, in the village of Zarichne (Hvardiiske), Samarskyi District. The eparchial press service reported this.

According to the church rector, Priest Heorhiy Demchenko, the fire began late in the evening – at around 23:50.

By the time rescuers arrived, the flames had already engulfed the building, and it was not possible to save any property: the church and all its interior furnishings burned down completely.

As the UOJ reported, a 17th-century wooden UOC church burned down in the village of Ivashkovytsia in Zakarpattia.
