Sviatoslav Shevchuk stated that the majority of the eparchies and exarchates of the UGCC are located abroad.

On this topic Shevchuk opposes peace plan and urges not to give up territories

"Today we occupy a unique position compared to other Churches of Ukraine: we are almost the only Church that has a global network of its structures. Few people know that the majority of the eparchies and exarchates of the UGCC are located outside Ukraine," emphasized the head of the UGCC.

Summing up the results of 2025, Shevchuk pointed out that the UGCC "builds the unity of the Ukrainian global community".

According to the head of the Greek Catholics, the UGCC is perceived by international organizations as the voice of Ukrainian society: "For example, when it comes to voting in the UN for this or that resolution. They all look at our Church as the voice of civil society in Ukraine. Everyone is interested in how Ukrainians live, whether they are still ready to defend themselves. And we repeat, like a mantra, that Ukraine is tired, wounded but undefeated».

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Shevchuk predicted "hard decades" for Ukraine due to the demographic catastrophe.
