Two court hearings in Metropolitan Arseniy’s case scheduled for December 17

On December 17, 2025, the feast day of the Great Martyr Barbara, two hearings of the Dnipro Court of Appeal are scheduled in the case of Metropolitan Arseniy of Sviatohirsk, the press service of the Sviatohirsk Lavra reported.

During the hearings, the court will consider the defense’s appeals against the following rulings:

– the decision of the Sobornyi District Court of Dnipro dated November 3, 2025, ordering Metropolitan Arseniy’s detention in a pretrial detention center until December 10;
– the decision of the Chechelivskyi District Court of Dnipro dated December 6, 2025, extending Metropolitan Arseniy’s preventive measure for 60 days.

The hearings are scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. The court is located at 24 Myru Avenue, Kryvyi Rih.

“Dear brothers and sisters, we ask for your prayers for the imprisoned Metropolitan Arseniy and the brotherhood of the Lavra,” the monastery’s statement said.

As the UOJ previously reported, a court in Dnipro ordered the pretrial detention center to conduct a medical examination of Metropolitan Arseniy.
