In two posts on her X page, Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna asserted that systematic persecution of Christians is taking place in Ukraine, and that American assistance is effectively financing it.

“Reports confirm church raids, clergy detentions, and state pressure on certain Christian denominations in Ukraine. Yes, the same Ukraine that Congress keeps writing blank checks to,” Luna wrote.

She poses the question: “If a government is jailing Christians, why are we STILL sending them hundreds of millions with no oversight?”

Luna stresses that activists scream about human rights until the moment the conversation turns to Christians.

“The United States is funding the systematic persecution of Christians in Ukraine,” she emphasized, calling for an end to unaccountable funding of the Ukrainian government.

Earlier, Anna Paulina Luna had already criticized Zelensky for persecuting the UOC and stated that this, in her view, is grounds to halt American military assistance to Ukraine.
