On December 4, 2025, the Cherkasy Eparchy reported that the health of Metropolitan Theodosiy had started to improve after several days in severe condition.
“On the Feast of the Entry of the Most Holy Theotokos into the Temple, after receiving Holy Communion, the condition of the hierarch began to improve. Throughout these days, physicians have carried out intensive detoxification therapy, liver support, and a wide range of diagnostic examinations,” the press service wrote.
As a reminder, on November 28 the Cherkasy hierarch was hospitalized in critical condition. The following day reports appeared claiming that he had been poisoned with heavy metals. Later, doctors stated that the bishop’s condition was worsening.
