On Dec 16, Supreme Court to consider case of Kyiv Metropolis liquidation

The Supreme Court of Ukraine will consider the case on the termination of the activities of the Kyiv Metropolis of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on December 16, 2025. This was reported on the official website of the State Service for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience (DESS).

The State Ethnopolitics Service writes that their application for securing a claim in the case of terminating the activities of the religious organization – the Kyiv Metropolis of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church – will be considered.

It is noted that the Cassation Administrative Court within the Supreme Court on November 18 decided to complete preparatory actions and schedule the case for appellate review in a court session to be held at 15:00 on December 16.

The hearing will take place in the premises of the Cassation Administrative Court at the address: Kyiv, Kniaziv Ostrozkykh St., 8, Building 5.

Earlier, the Supreme Court rejected the UOC's appeal in the case of DESS directives.
