On November 3, 2025, during the hearing in the Sobornyi District Court of Dnipro in the case of Metropolitan Arseniy of Sviatohirsk, the hierarch’s health suddenly deteriorated, the press service of the Sviatohirsk Lavra reported.

The ambulance team that arrived on site diagnosed a severe spike in blood pressure and transported him to the hospital.

“During the session, participants were viewing the video recording of the Metropolitan’s arrest on October 28, 2025. In the process, the rights of both the hierarch and his defense team were grossly violated – neither he nor his lawyers were given the opportunity to comment on the footage, nor was the viewing paused for that purpose. During the session, Metropolitan Arseniy began to feel very unwell. A recess was declared. The hierarch went to his hotel room for a short rest, to eat, and to take medication. An ambulance was called there. The doctors measured his blood pressure – the monitor showed 200 over 110. The ambulance is now taking Metropolitan Arseniy to the hospital,” the statement reads.
